In 1957, Ed Brown was living the cowboy life with Dub Blanton as his mentor, herding cattle from pasture to pasture on horseback. During slack time they would gather up the calves and ride them. Carolina Rodeo Co. was born in the early 60's and Ed's professional rodeo career began in Blacksburg SC, his home town. Ed went on to become a champion bull rider.
Ed's dream of owning his own rodeo came true in 1968. The Ed Brown Rodeo became a reality. The Ed Brown Rodeo has since produced the best family friendly rodeo on the East coast for 50 years. In the mid 60's Ed married his wife, Diane. Together they have two sons, Chucky and Timmy. Both sons continued the family tradition of competing in Rodeos and becoming champions in bull and bareback riding. Ed and Diane have four grandchildren. Chucky and his wife, Leah, have two girls, Jessie and Josie. Timmy and his wife, Angie, have a boy, Tanner, and a girl, Taylor. Ed's four grandchildren carry on the family's love of rodeo by continuing to ride and participate in rodeos. |
